CHRISTMAS IN ISCHIA
December 8, 2023 - January 6, 2024
In keeping with more than a decade-long tradition, the municipality of Ischia organizes numerous events during the holiday season dedicated primarily to children and young people but also to adults. Entertainment, games, music, art, food, tradition, illuminated and festively decorated streets and parks, Christmas in Ischia should be experienced to the fullest by enjoying the excitement and moments of serenity that it is possible to spend on these special days. Below are all the events and entertainment planned from Dec. 8 to Jan. 6.
THE PROGRAM.
December 8 Inauguration of Santa’s Village
December 8 to January 6: Nenzi Bozzi Pine Grove “Santa’s Village.”
Meet Santa and his Elves , bring your letters and participate in the many activities with Santa and his helpers.
Dec. 8 to Jan. 6 Ice Slide at Algae Square
Lots of fun sliding down the slope with donuts!
December 8 to January 6: The Christmas Markets Piazzetta San Girolamo. A Christmas shopping spree of crafts and creativity
Dec. 7 to Jan. 7: Inside the Artists’ Pine Forest, the Electric Train will pass by, taking you along the Elf Trail and exploring the Befana Valley.
Dec. 1 to Jan. 6: Ice rink at Bar Calise in Heroes Square.
From December 8 to January 6: A-Holiday Radio Christmas storytelling with broadcasting via social channels
December 8/9 and 10 in Ischia Ponte: The Theater of Taste
An event based on good eating and good drinking that will conclude with the Concert, in Ischia Ponte, with a final special guest
Dec. 9 , 10 ,16, 17: At the Artists’ Pine Grove, The National Mobile Theater will stage the hilarious Puppet Show
Dec. 17: at Heroes’ Square from 10 a.m. the Unicef marketplace
Dec. 18: In the Churches of Ischia Ponte : Children from Circle 2 will cheer in the morning from 10 a.m.
Dec. 18: at St. Anthony’s Church Musical Concert
Dec. 21: At the Excelsior CineTeatro, the Junior Vertical Territorial Orchestra, composed of students from Buchner High School and Scotti Middle School, will give their first “Christmas Concert”
Dec. 21: As part of the “Christmas of C(u)ori” event by the Campania Regional Choirs Association, there will be a performance by the Good Shepherd Chorale
Dec. 23: At the Convent of St. Anthony as part of the “Christmas of the C(u)ori” event organized by the Campania Regional Choirs Association, there will be a performance by the Good Shepherd Chorale with the participation of the “City of Ischia” marching band.
December 24: On Christmas Eve, the Musical Band “City of Ischia will enliven with a parade of Christmas songs the streets of the Borgo
Dec. 27: Departing from Ischia Ponte and all along the main street, the procession “Nuptialia Isclanae,” a historical reconstruction of the wedding between Vittoria Colonna and Ferrante D’Avalos, will take place
Dec. 27: Road safety awareness events and green days
Dec. 28: Everyone in the square for The Christmas Surprise
Dec. 31 “Viglione in Piazza ” starting at 10 p.m. in Old Reggia Square the farewell to the old year and welcome the new to the sound of Music.
Jan. 1: Traditional appointment with the New Year’s Eve Grand Gala at CineTeatro Excelsior with The Wind Orchestra of the City of Ischia and Tenor Maestro Malapena
January 5 : Children’s Christmas Cross Square : Games and movement workshops
January 6 : 11:30 a.m. Landing of the Three Kings at the Mandra
